Was it the taste that made you throw up? I have never heard anyone throwing up after drinking this but I suggest you start it out slow. So drink only half a glass in the morning of what I recommended and then slowly build up your intake. This way your body will get used to the detox process and yes it gives a lot of energy which is normal to feel after drinking it xx
This great detox water not only rids your body of toxins but helps to flush fat from your body as well. Cucumbers are diuretics can help you to avoid water retention. Lemons and limes help to flush out toxins from your digestive tract and grapefruits help you to burn fat. Just add ½ gallon of spring water, ½ of a medium grapefruit (sliced), ½ a cucumber (sliced), ½ each of a sliced lemon and lime and a couple of mint leaves. 5. Bloated Belly: Kate Patton, a registered dietitian at Cleveland Clinic, told Health.com that eating too many processed foods can be the reason why people are gaining belly fat instead of losing it. She said, “Refined grains like white bread, crackers, and chips, as well as refined sugars in sweetened drinks and desserts, increase inflammation in our bodies, belly fat is associated with inflammation, so eating too many processed foods will hinder your ability to lose belly fat.” Patton suggests that people consume foods like vegetables, fruits, and whole grains because they are full of antioxidants and contain anti-inflammatory properties that can help prevent or remove belly fat.
Mint is great for aiding in digestion and raspberries have great antioxidant properties. Add them both to water and you have a very tasty detox water to help flush those toxins from your kidneys, liver and colon. You will need about half a gallon of spring or purified water, 2 tablespoons of raspberries – these can be fresh or frozen – and two tablespoons of fresh mint leaves. You also need a medium sized lime. Just slice the lime and add it along with the mint leaves and raspberries to your water in a large pitcher. Muddle the raspberries just a bit if you want more flavor and you can microwave the lime for a couple of seconds to get more juice from it.
While there are some published studies on various ingredients often found in detox teas, I haven't seen any research on the teas themselves, particularly in the precise formulas they're prescribed (that research isn't required for the teas to be sold, by the way). That means that using detox teas leaves unanswered questions about if and how they work, how they should be used, how much may be too much, and possibly who shouldn't use them. If you're unsure, or are planning to start drinking them, talk to your doctor, nutritionist, or health care provider. Just be sure he or she doesn't have a vested interest in the sale of the product you're considering: If they happen to be selling or endorsing it, seek a second opinion.
Purchase a cleanse product that fits into your lifestyle. Many such products are available at your local health retailer. Cleansing products are kits that typically contain herbs for detoxifying the body as well as fibers to help eliminate them. Cleansing programs generally last from 7 to 30 days. Be sure to pick something gentle and stay close to a restroom while you are cleansing.
To get flatter abs in your 50s and beyond, Murphy suggests skipping the CrossFit or SoulCycle classes: Even though these activities burn a lot of calories, they're so intense that they can prompt your body to make more cortisol. Instead, he advises walking while holding hand weights and keeping your heart rate between 90 to 110. That type of more moderate exercise will help you torch belly fat without kicking up the cortisol.
